Planning and navigation for mobile autonomous robots spatial reasoning in player/stage system – Streszczenie

Zasadnicza część książki „Planning and navigation for mobile autonomous  robots spatial reasoning in player/stage system” dotyczy problemów planowania, nawigacji i lokalizacji autonomicznych robotów mobilnych oraz ich zespołów. Te trzy problemy, wprawdzie rozważane osobno, towarzyszą sobie wzajemnie w każdym środowisku pracy robotów mobilnych, rzeczywistym bądź symulowanym.

Książka ta prezentuje kompletny przykład zastosowania technik przybliżonego rozumowania przestrzennego do planowania i nawigacji autonomicznych robotów mobilnych i ich formacji. Zaprezentowane zostały wyniki przeprowadzonych symulacji zaproponowanych strategii jak i opisany został eksperyment wykonany na rzeczywistych robotach.

Planning and navigation for mobile autonomous robots spatial reasoning in player/stage system – Preface

The core of this book concerns problems of planning, navigation, and – in real world experiments – with localization of mobile autonomous robots as well as of their teams. These three problems, though discussed as a rule separately, are inseparable in implementations, whether they are simulated or real. This book gives unified treatment based on techniques of approximate spatial reasoning to planning and navigation of mobile autonomous robots and their teams along with simulations of proposed strategies and with their implementation in conditions of real world environment. In this work three main components can be discerned:
A. Methodology: based on rough mereology and induced from it spatial reasoning as well as on Player/Stage system in which predicates of rough mereogeometry are implemented.
B. Simulations in Player/Stage system.
C. Experiments in real environment.
